You know for sure if Trump had been President in 1940, he would have been saying Britain should make peace with Hitler...

Amazingly diplomatic of Zelensky not to have simply slapped Trump and Vance and taken the consequences.

Great to hear that Leverkusen, Bracknell's twinned town, has re-elected Karl Lauterbach for his sixth term, keeping this bit of Germany red. We are proud at Bracknell Town Council to have maintained our twinned relationship, whatever party hue in Bracknell and Leverkusen, and long may it continue.

When you're a councillor one day and the next you're actually using the service to give notice of marriage...

People know how much I go on about the Thames Basin Heaths. One of the roles I'm blessed with is chair of the board tasked with its protection. It's wonderful to end the year with improved numbers for all three species - a massive thanks to the team of wardens and our partners on this success!

My last political act of 2024. Delivering some Thank You letters to Kingfisher Chase and Dipper Lea in Jennett's Park for their amazing Christmas light displays, raising money for the Alzheimer's Society. An amazing cause and a sign of the Bracknell community spirit at its very best! #bracknell

Great to meet Alzheimer's Research UK today to discuss how we can tackle dementia together.

Research is our only chance of stopping dementia in its tracks so I'm proud to be supporting their mission #ForACure

When the Bracknell Conservatives are lambasting us for encouraging people to use buses, you know they're out of ideas and out of vision for Bracknell Forest.

Wonderful to see the pioneering approach of Bracknell Forest highlighted
Bracknell Forest Council are the first local authority we've come across to proactively publish their Scorecards responses. We chatted to Climate Change Officer Will Barnes to discover how & why the council are embracing the Scorecards in this way. www.mysociety.org/2024/09/23/b...
Bracknell Forest's proactive approach to the Climate Scorecards
Why is one local authority proactively providing the answers to the Council Climate Action Scorecards marking? We find out.

Bizarre behaviour from the Bracknell Conservatives last night. Voting against a motion in Full Council that they introduced. Throwing toys out the pram because Labour, Liberal Democrats, and Greens called out their political games - not what their residents elected them for.

I am saddened to hear of the death of Cllr Paul Fishwick. As my opposite number at Wokingham Council, we worked together closely on a number of issues. Many will indeed remember his encyclopedic knowledge and his courtesy. I extend my heartfelt sympathies.
