I was Enoch from OTGW for Halloween! I couldn’t find a big enough head but I am happy with how it turned out.

Without the head though i was just a big tumbleweed!

Sexual dimorphism of Australopithecus afarensis is striking and yet the hominins before it (Ardipithecus) and after it (Homo) are virtually monomorphic in most skeletal dimensions. Social evolution id a hell of a drug!

I had some people on my most recent video tell me the self portrait in my thumbnail has arms that are too long to give it an artificially more simian look

It’s definitely a little cartoony (bc that’s all I can draw) but I’m actually staying pretty true to my silly simian proportions.

8/10 or 4/5 Americans accept evolution in the United States, according to Pew.

(I have ideas)

I saw this adorable weevil looking guy and hassled it for five minutes to get these pics. Turns out it’s a Wheel Bug and could have bitten the crap out of me! “The resulting wound is documented to be extremely painful, lasting, and lingering, accompanied by numbness which can persist for days.”

Macaque mom and a bunch of little dinosaurs (plus a dimetrodon, pterosaur, and some fuckass purple synapsids or ankylosaur)

AABAs this year are fun and interesting. The conference vibe when the entire discipline is teetering on the verge of collapse (that being Science generally) is so difficult to describe.

A constant oscillation between somber and manic?

Obsessed with enlightenment art of prehistoric animals and the “great flood”.

This was at the cusp of Dilivualism’s demise.

Tentatively a Silvery Gibbon (note the triangular tufts on the sides of the head) but sort of like a sickly sister species
