I think this is pretty concerning, there’s a distinct correlation to fiction and empathy, allowing outside perspectives and ideologies.

Yes, countless. I think the skill needed to create some of the stories I desire just isn’t here yet. I want to write a Secret History with less than half the talent of Tartt.

I really wish I knew other writers. I just want to connect and know other people who have made it their whole life to write. I desire knowing that people share in my overwhelming feeling of longing.

making an intimate scene can be so frustrating, “they kissed” sounds too daft but “the sheer interlocking of their lips felt like the collision of stars” is literally so much worse

I want to do a Wattpad Friends Starter Pack for readers and authors.

Can anyone from Wattpad (circa 2012-2024) please follow and start engagement? What books do/have you read? Do you still use the site? Thoughts about the changes? Let’s create a space here on Bluesky!

Who here likes books?

I’m actually astonished there’s no poet/poetry starter packs. I’m committed to being the change that I desire to see right now.

Are there any people who read manhwa or webtoons? I seriously prefer them when my eyes are tired of reading regular books or textbooks but I still want to meet my reading goals

I seriously thought I was the only person experiencing that, so weird.

His descent needs to be studied.
ok this app seems like a pretty good replacement for Twitter but I’m confused because I haven’t seen 40 unsolicited elon tweets in a row yet, is my feed broken?

Really happy that this place finally has the juice it always deserved.

I think I should wait until I get more traction, but I want to do a question of the day thing. I think it’ll be a fun way to get to know each other, increase engagement, and find like-minded people.

To all the writers out there:

What do you think about ChatGPT?
I’ve been using it to flesh out a story, mostly for fun, and some of the feedback, editorial corrections and approaches it has are actually so pleasing. If not a little scary.

Thoughts?

It’s so satisfying on here, like the aesthetic and the engagement is so peaceful.
