Oh yeah THAT was infuriating, especially as a ref myself because if you’re inconsistent on that it basically damages your credibility beyond repair for that game

Yeah I can only think of one or two egregiously bad decisions this year where I understand why people would do it (one of them being that penalty Louisville got back in August) but for things that aren’t really match critical it’s a bit over the top

Yes the officiating in the league has room to improve and we should all be calling on PRO to treat NWSL like the D1 league that it is, but there’s a serious shortage of refs at the lower levels of the game and there won’t be any improvement if regular people don’t want to do that job.
