Right now, it honestly feels like I’m drinking water out of a fire hydrant on full blast because Trump is doing so much & it’s hard to keep up with the insanity.

His policies & rhetoric are damaging to the American people. Why him again in 2025? I don’t know. I thought the country learned in 2020.

Sometimes I look at my career and feel a lot of imposter syndrome.

Even if I got to the place I am due to ‘luck’, I’m going to use every opportunity to improve the working conditions of working-class communities.

This week in class, we’ve been talking about how working-class people are largely underrepresented in the political space.

Whether it’s Congress, media, and even new media. Sure, we have people fighting for us (e.g Bernie) but it would be great if had more AOCs in Congress.

Please vote y’all.

If republicans are ok with this gesture, then I dare them to do this gesture in Congress, in their state legislatures, at their school board, and in front of their constituents.

Let’s see what happens.

I never grew up with money, recognition or anything handed to me in a silver plate.

I became the FIRST to graduate college in my family and extended family.

I challenged a social and economic obstacle in my families generations and I, alongside my family, broke it.

I’ll continue to make change.

I’m from Los Angeles. The fires are impacting everyone.

Please stop saying rich people are only impacted. Working- and middle-class families are struggling. Stop taking away from us; we are struggling.

Homes are burnt, lives are lost, air quality is impacting us all.

I am shocked. I am sad. It’s hard finding the words for this post. My home, Los Angeles, is burning to the ground.

The fires, the ash, the smoke, the lives lost…it hurts. Please, to me fellow angelenos, stay safe. We will rebuild LA.

When Twitter first came out, I was like “cool, a nice way to engage with people. Everyone has a voice”.

Now, it’s a fight to have the biggest microphone in the room by saying the most intolerant & racist BS.

I miss engaging with people but I still have yet to figure out BlueSky’s algorithm.

Who else is going to have to explain tariffs to family members & friends who (stupidly) voted for Trump this thanksgiving?

I uninstalled Twitter from my phone about a month ago and my mental health has improved drastically.

I honestly did have a Twitter addiction. I wanted to spend time having fun in gaming communities but the increased right-wing propaganda just made the app unhealthy.

Happy that BlueSky exists.

My parents escaped Guatemala’s civil war in the early 90s. Years later, I was born an American citizen.

Trump is trying to take away this fundamental right. A right that was afforded to me.

So, when people say “don’t take politics personal”. It is fucking personal.

From 1989 to 2019, the richest 1% of families increased their share of total national wealth from 27% to 34%.

At the same time, families in the bottom 50% saw their share drop from 4% to 2%.

When we say trickle-down economics is a hoax, this is what we mean.

Legacy media continues to fight about Dem’s failings.

New media (the better kind) is already talking about organizing and defending against Trump. Love to see it.

Trump fired the majority of his cabinet in his first term.

Who do you think he is going to fire first? Putting my bets on Elon Musk & Susie Wiles.

This is arguably the biggest collection of ass-kissers for any presidential cabinet. So, it’ll be hard to predict.

I’ve been looking for ways to get my voice out there.

These past days, I realize I don’t have the capacity & time to do day-to-day coverage. Either way, I feel like we have a lot of good people that doing that good work with MeidasTouch, Pakman, etc.

I want to contribute in a different way.
