It's hard to comprehend, but fueling a bike ride with calories only from beef emits more co2 than a drive of the same distance in a pickup truck. My students are using this as a phenomena to explore energy loss between trophic levels. #ngss #scienceteacher #iteachbio

Grateful for NY State parks, I've always felt a little slighted that NY doesn't have any national parks, yet in this political environment, the insulation the parks have from the federal government is a great advantage
