I feel like it's already bleeding quite a lot into what people expect from a game, which is fucked. Like if a MP game doesn't have the full suite of crap aimed at player retention, it's seen as a flaw. Down to something as dumb as begging for achievements to somehow validate your time investment.

There are probably like 2-3 people who will get super hyped after getting baited by the Daikatana 2 website into thinking that it's getting a sequel.

As an impartial credits enjoyer, they're also boring to watch. I prefer seeing all the different roles that people filled, how many of them worked on certain parts, who they are more specifically.

If it's cheap enough, maybe the VR thing as well, but both might be fucked with the import situation

I feel like it's the difference between horror built around jumpscares and one built around tension. Edgy stuff will dump "shocking" scenes on you, while grime is more so oppressive and depressing in a much more overarching and grounded way.

Same here. I even WAS on that server at one point because I loved the demo and wanted to give feedback directly. The only red flag I saw back then, is that there was a non-insignificant amount of people who seem like they jerk off to that vid with Cold War training footage set to Blue Mnoday.
