Over the last year, I've often thought of this last bit from an excellent interview Nancy Pelosi gave in August of 2024.

Decades ago, I found myself seated beside her at a 5-year-old's birthday party. We watched the kids' entertainer, who was...not great, but giving his all; puppets, instruments, etc. Keaton was utterly rapt, verbalizing amused, encouraging things like, "Oh no, really? Oh, my! Oh, that's terrific!"
