Thanks to @patrickharvie.bsky.social for asking First Minister @johnswinney.bsky.social at Holyrood today to endorse the call for a Fossil Fuel Treaty - for a global just transition to clean energy for all

Good to hear the FM say that he'll consider it ⤵️

This would be laughable if it wasn't so serious: yet again, the Tories are claiming that we can get "all our oil and gas" from the North Sea and that we should be doing even more to support the industry to extract.

There are several reasons why we should treat this with maximum scepticism:

Hi @elliereeves.bsky.social I'd very much like you to really get behind this initiative and put an end to profiteering by those who are happy to pollute our waterways whilst filling their bank accounts.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
Our privatised water system is broken - but water companies are doing everything they can to keep the Ponzi scheme staggering on.

A solution exists. Your MP needs to hear about it: actionnetwork.org/letters/ask-...

Shouldn’t the BBC be challenging the ideas of Reform supporters rather than appealing to them? Robbie Gibb should be escorted from the premises carrying his stuff in a cardboard box. bylinetimes.com/2025/06/09/b...

65% would support a COMPLETE arms sales ban to Israel. And 60% would support an end to the trade deal between the UK and Israel.

The 'best' of Labour, losing patience with Starmer. Disabled people face losing £1000s from their income. Starmer has a vicious regime within Labour but this assault on the most vulnerable people in the UK is inexcusable, there must be opposition within Labour www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Keir Starmer, a liar who bought votes in his party for the leadership and in the country for the keys to No 10. He has no shame and no principles, he is leading the UK on a path to a victory for little fascist Farage. There will be no one who bears more responsibility for that than Starmer
Starmer then: "poor public services are not the fault of migrants... they're political failure"

Starmer today: "our public services, struggling under the strain [of illegal immigration]"

@elliereeves.bsky.social Scapegoating the disabled is worse than I expected from this government. Taking money from those suffering more than most in society instead of implementing a wealth tax is disgusting. Shame on the Labour leadership and shame on those MPs who refuse to speak out aginst this.

@transportforlondon.bsky.social I’ve been on a 185 since Kennington Park heading towards Lewisham, massive diversion thanks to incident at Camberwell, not completed my journey to Forest Hill fire station, going to be late to pick up son, and you make bus wait for 3 minutes. What was the point?

Hi @elliereeves.bsky.social are you going to stand and cheer on the cuts to aid, cosying up to the sexist racist Trump, and Starmer's charge into Reform territory? Or can you find some remaining principles like Annelise Dodds?

Hi @elliereeves.bsky.social I'm having a bit of a problem getting my head round Labour cutting aid in order to increase spending on the military. Could you explain why it's such a good idea in simple plain English?

Nice! I guess Labour’s new immigration slogan will be SMASH THE GANGS - PENALISE THE VULNERABLE.

Starmer wants a trade deal with the US. UK has a lot to lose. Specifically worried about the cost of pharmaceuticals to the NHS - a giant buyer that can use it's weight to squeeze prices. Trump hates that and will try to stop that at any cost. embarking on a deal would be dangerous and foolish

Peter Mendelson sucks up to anyone with a fat wallet: Epstein, Deripaska, Hinduja, Paul Allen (of Microsoft), Geoffrey Robinson (who lent Mendelson £373k). That’s a lot of billionaires in your life. Dread to think what he will do faced with Trump, Musk and co. Terrible appointment for ambassador.
