The GPS traces in the middle of this screenshot are from before 2012… how did they do this?

Pity that people replace their cars every 3 years oh wait they don’t
November 18, 2025 at 5:40 PM
Do it! Even in the snow!

?

The most that can be said is many of the people that live in urban areas don’t need a car.

I present to you the menu at Fulla Beans (formerly Fulla Bologna), for whom this would be a good addition:

April 2024, but things haven’t changed that much.

That would be about 29.9 kWh per day. Closer to 14 only counting the house. Oh, and the furnace and water heater run on gas.

Some benefits though.

Trying something different.

This is true for gas-powered vehicles too, those just mask the cost by defaulting to 400-450 miles of range at 55mph: www.mpgforspeed.com/different_ca...

MUTCD-compliant!
September 9, 2025 at 2:04 PM
Yeah, unfortunately that’s not coming back.

Not Kia, but if I was in the market for a gas vehicle, I'm a fan of the Santa Fe's design: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/co...

Pain-free 314 miles and still 40% charge remaining (includes one 30% ➡️ 80% session). #ev #evsky

389 miles on a single charge? 5 miles/kWh? Sure, why not. #evsky

It’s a California thing.
August 5, 2025 at 11:26 PM
I still want someone to explain how we got here from this:
August 2, 2025 at 8:24 PM
No, it means now we have the worst of both worlds: the vast majority of vehicles sold in 2025 will emit vastly more carbon for the next 20 years.
July 30, 2025 at 4:15 PM
I’m equally confident that we’ll get there, and that 400 miles in a weekend is in the super, super, super minority.

It’s okay to work on the 88% part of the pie first.
July 30, 2025 at 12:06 AM
What makes this really interesting is that you can clock their speeds too: 71.6 mph
July 29, 2025 at 8:58 PM
It’s really nice *and* can adjust on the fly, in case this plan doesn’t work out:

When severe storms form outside the marginal risk area. 🥲 #ilwx

One of those facts that apparently needed to be rediscovered? www.mpgforspeed.com/different_ca...

IONIQ 6 charging curve excellence: knocking out ~261 miles in one go, then charging back up to 80% in 16 minutes at a 350 kW charger to go (up to) another 200 miles. #evsky
