For decades, the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act held the government responsible for public exposure to nuclear material. Guess who's prevented it from being renewed for the last few years? A Trump ally. I know I'm not the first to observe this but these people are a death cult.

Fun fact: The US government accidentally killed John Wayne with tests like these. Radioactive dust drifted to a nearby movie set, & a lot of the cast & crew soon died of cancer. A gov't fund to compensate exposure victims expired in 2024.

I’ve mentioned this before, but on time we had a troll influx, a lot of them posted AI, so I saw a lot of their posts while doing @aimod.social labeling.
Lots of accounts with nasty replies to “blocked post” abandoned their accounts within weeks and even days. The non-blocked ones kept trolling.

i know the desire to fight with these sick freaks is strong but resist the urge and just block. it’s better for your brain.

The cruelty in today's politics feels horribly corrosive. Bringing up that hard-working immigrant families — undocumented, yes, but not violent criminals — are being ripped apart based on immigration status doesn't bring compassion or even pause, but gleeful cheers.

This is why I have to take a break. It's not just the egregious fucking lying with every word out of his mouth, it's that there's no pushback. SNAP doesn't lower food costs or have anything to do with the price of food, it's for people who DON'T HAVE INCOME FOR FOOD. I hate this.
