Further, and this is my observation, we use too many jargon words that people do not understand. Diamond was the most preferred way, yet they knew very little about it. Gold is widely know, but because of the costs it is less appreciated. Visibility & impact are the driving forces; policies are low.

In our report one may find some initial conclusions. In short, Greek authors will prefer any possible way to publish, as long as they can afford. In a country where income & Universities' budget has not recovered since the austerity period, cost is a critical factor. HEAL-Link's TAs is the main way

The collection of the 1,467 responses took place in a 2-month period in spring 2024 & their analysis examines the knowledge, preferences & criteria for #OpenAccess publishing of the GR academic staff. It also focuses on the knowledge of the HEAL-Link services, & of the IRs of the member institutions
