A look at the different Kuminga frameworks reported over the summer.

Compared to the Warriors' initial 2yr/$45M offer, Kuminga eventually signed for $1.7M more ($800k of which guaranteed) plus a 15% trade kicker, that if traded, could net him about $1.3M-1.7M more.

A look at the Warriors 21-man training camp roster with Jonathan Kuminga re-signing for 2yr/$48.5M and Seth Curry attending camp on an Exhibit 9 (before being waived and re-signed November 14th).

Warriors' unrestricted free agent, Braxton Key, signed with the Memphis Grizzlies on an Exhibit 10 deal per team's press release.

Key is coming off a phenomenal G League DPOY-winning season, which earned him a two-way deal followed by a standard contract conversion with Golden State.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo has officially released its final 12-man selection for AfroBasket, which tips off tomorrow.

Jonathan Kuminga was not named to the roster amid his ongoing contract stalemate.

Jacksen Moni at 22-years-old is an interesting developmental prospect and great system fit with his outside range (37% on 657 3PA in college) and ability to find cutters and open shooters.

Santa Cruz projects with a very versatile frontcourt in Moni, Hawkins, Bolden, and Toohey.

3) Re-sign Kuminga

With a reported improved offer at $21.7M, the Warriors still have more than enough space to roster a full 15-man team filled with veterans at the minimum (Toohey/Richard as options as well) below the 2nd Apron hard cap.

Feels like the most likely outcome.
August 1, 2025 at 2:03 AM
2) Sacramento Offer:

No hard cap at 1st Apron (w/ Hield rerouted to a 3rd Team and Kuminga signing for at least $19.2M). Rest of the roster can be filled out with Horford (TMLE), Melton (MIN), and 4x more minimums (Curry, GP2, Toohey/Richard, etc.) while staying below 2nd Apron.
August 1, 2025 at 2:03 AM
A look at the Warriors' different roster outcomes dependent on their chosen pathway.

1) Phoenix Offer:

Hard caps them at the 1st Apron. Only leaves them with enough space to sign Horford (NTMLE), Melton (Min), & either Toohey or Richard (SRPE Min). 15th spot open.

The other one from the Suns with an existing framework that would work as a 2-team trade.

It was reported that the Suns were offering 4 second-round picks and while it's been quite challenging tracking down how many tradeable picks they actually have, I believe that number is 3.

ESPN reported yesterday two current S&T offers for Jonathan Kuminga.

One from the Kings offering Malik Monk and an unknown Protected 1st Rd pick.

Trading for Monk would require the Warriors to shed additional salary (likely Buddy Hield) and a third team to facilitate.

Here's a visual look based on ESPN's reporting today on the Warriors' offer to Kuminga compared to his counter, Phoenix's offer, and his Qualiyfing Offer.

Warriors' Mock 25/26 Salary Cap Outlook if:
🔹Kuminga takes the reported 2yr/$40M
🔸Horford signs for full TMLE
🔹Melton, Curry, & Payton II sign for minimums
🔸Toohey signs for SRPE rookie minimum
🔹Richard & Armstrong fill out Two Ways.

$3M space below the 2nd Apron hard cap.
July 29, 2025 at 2:10 AM
Here's an example using the Suns as a trade partner.

Both teams get hard-capped at the first apron. Warriors for receiving 100% more incoming than outgoing, Suns for same reason + incoming S&T FA.

Leaves Warriors enough space for TMLE+Vet Min+Rookie Min and Suns for 2x Vet Min.
