Tall, Scottish, friendly, occasionally handsome (not actually an Alpaca)
Maybe don’t take a big drink anytime soon.

I do love chia seeds in overnight oats. With pistachio oat milk, a bit of honey and a sprinkle of chocolate drops.

Sounds nice actually

Yeah. I worked a couple of days on it. (Just some 2nd unit pick up shots and the like)
Still not seen it yet.

What was the issue with the book? I haven’t read it.

It’s also unbelievably silly and facile.

It almost feels like a parody of the later games. I remember 3 being more than a little bit smarter and deeper than this, and I never even finished it.

It’s also just wacky to me that in about 2 hours of playing time, I’m more than 1/3 of the way through the first game. It’s TINY.

The most interesting thing about Drake, aside from his bizarre human-fly climbing abilities, and his well documented murderous sociopathy, is that he seemingly and inexplicably has a better knowledge of antiquities than Marcus Brody and Indiana Jones combined.

Like… sure it’s fine to like Drake, or Starlord. They’re about as low bar an entry for enjoyment as you glean get with a basic hero western white male protagonist.

Even James Bond is deeper than that.

That should have said wide, not weird…

Tbh there’s little weird about that fanbase. More just… basic.

It’s pretty much a straight line from Drake to someone like Starlord from GoTG.
Which also probably explains some of the popularity of these characters with a weird swathe of young male audiences.

But it’s all so funny how Drake’s goofy but competent everyman protagonist has just become the template for so many other game and film male heroes.

I dread, with every cell of my being, becoming or even feeling like I’m the “guy constantly posting the most basic joke, obvious thing or cookie-cutter reaction.

But then… that’s usually the guy who people remember.
“Good old Bill Door” syndrome, perhaps.

I do also love a “season 1 was borked but then we fixed EVERYTHING in season 2” -brilliance snatched from the jaws of mediocrity- story.

Last time I saw that was with Snowpiercer, turning the wobbly and confused first season around with a stellar season 2 (with added Sean Bean)
