Like... this video youtu.be/r_9wkavYt4Y made 2M views and not once came to the realization all of the issues layed out in the video are political / social problems, not technological. The issue is not that Grok calls itself Mecha Hitler, it's that we allow xAI to operate at all.
If you remember one AI disaster, make it this one

AI as it currently exists is changing the world (largely for the worse), there's no need to wait for AGI (except if you're invested in the AI companies this discourse prop up).

But to even think of this hypothetical is giving the whole AGI idea credit. There is no evidence of a self-improving algorithm, there is evidence of plateauing perfomance of "frontier" models which all work on abstract and forego the physical world.

The energy demand is such a hard, physical limit. These power plants require real people to operate. If "AGI turns on us" how so many AGI scare essayists say (mostly to prop up the AI companies they're invested in?), we could simply turn the power off.

This follows an argument I had countless time, AGI's limit is physical. I don't think you even need to go in the details of the parallel processing chip architecture and how it binds optimally to the transformer operations. In general we live in a bounded world with limited resource.

No way is that Bannon with Chomsky? Sorry where is this from, the Espstein files? Double yikes.

Always found his position on Palestine sound but knew nothing of him otherwise. Why did you dislike him before this shot?

Faster R-CNN receiving the test-of-time award makes me feel old... Thanks for sharing the best paper awards list!
