It is time to send a strong message to Allseas to ask them to comply with international law and waive this project. Here's how you can help: tag @gov.ch, @ignaziocassis, @eda_dfae under this post to alter them on this violation of international law by a Swiss company. Tag Swiss media, this is really really important as this scandal needs to go beyond social media. Like and share this post massively to spread the word.

And you might recall as well that, back in 2023, Switzerland joined the moratorium on deep-sea mining. Since then, Switzerland has been actively defending the precautionary principle in the negotiations, just like the scientific community recommends. If Allseas provides the technology and vessels to enable deep-sea mining in international waters without ISA authorization, this Swiss company would be actively participating in the violation of international law - even directly making it possible. This is against international law, against the country's position, against the scientific consensus. Do you see us coming? If we build sufficient pressure and alert on this violation of international law, Allseas could be forced to diverst from The Metals Company. If it does, this is the end of The Metals Company. No boat, no technology, no deep-sea mining. Or, to put it in a French-Swiss expression: "pas de bras, pas de chocolat".

The first area that they would mine in violation of international law is in the Pacific Ocean: in an area the size of Europe, called the "Clarion Clipperton-Zone". Pacific Island States, with their communities, ecosystems, economies, cultural heritage, would be the first to be directly impacted by the irreversible impacts the industry would cause. All this, for the profit of this Canadian company and the US administration (hello neocolonialism, clown emoji). But there's a twist. And that is where we intervene. You see, the boat and the technologies that The Metals Company would use to mine the deep sea for Trump does not belong to the Metals Company. It belongs to a group called All Seas, a major group based... in Switzerland. For the most ancients here, this boat might sound familiar... in December 2022, we exposed a massive chemical pollution and environmental catastrophe that they provoked during a deep-sea mining test expedition in the Pacific (and that, of course, The Metals Company tried to hide), thanks to whistleblowers onboard the ship.

The company that would go mine the deep sea in international waters for the Trump administration is called "The Metals Company": a Canadian mining company who has been lobbying for years to get an international agreement at the ISA to start mining the deep sea asap. We've been campaigning against them for years, resulting in a little astrology exchange from their CEO while they were plundering financially as we gained more and more States joining the moratorium. The last poker card that they pulled, to avoid going bankrupt and collapsing, has been to knock at Trump's door. And it worked.

Trump is about to detroy the only palce on earth wchi hremains until today free from human intervention: the deep sea. But we got a plan to try to stop him before it's too late. And it involves each and everyone of you. As you might have heard, Donald Trump has signed an executive order authorizing the start of deep-sea mining, including in international waters. It is important to understand that this "international water" belongs to no one, no state. What we do in this area is therefore decided collectively, by 170 member States negotiating in a United Nation entity called the ISA. It takes a deal of all these countries to start doing something. That's why negotiations about deep sea mining have been taking place for 30 years, and that no exploitation has started yet. But in 1 signature, Trump decides to send to hell all of this. By doing so, Trump is literally violating international law. This industry, that would take place for the first time in history, is a very particular one. It would open the doors to the mass destruction of the biggest ecosystem on Earth, the key regulator of our global climate. It would risk provoking an unprecedented environmental crisis and create irreversible impact on an ecosystem which is mostly unknown. This is why all the scientific community unanimously calls for a moratorium.
