This deserves elevation. Lederer's performance is excellent. I love the X-Files-like element, where there's basically a branch of Interpol that hunts vampires. They are even equipped with specialist spyware! There are some memorable scenes, especially the switch to color in one crucial bit.

The best adaptions hands down. This, combined with Night of the Living Dead, basically is the formula for every subsequent zombie movie. (Of course, Omega Man gets some points.)

They are cleaning the cat of JR "Bob" Dobbs?

I saw recently that some of these critters produce barely perceptible sounds. Maybe this snoot is some sort of organ of resonance? Like the head gear of the dino Parasaurolophus?

Heh, indeed. The specimens were a little worse-for-wear, as I imagine they were pulled from the tanks many times, and subjected to much poking and prodding.

Years ago I was on a tour at the Museum of Natural History in NYC. In the collection room, we were led to a huge coffin like vat. Inside were 2 coelacanths in formalin! They were huge! The larger one seemed at least five feet long. The two specimens were old, collected around the time of discovery.

A great pleasure of mine is feeding the Lantern flies to my Venus Fly traps.

Can these sub-human creeps get any more disgusting? I'm sure I'm not the only one who know realizes "the Files" are just the tip of the iceberg.

I did not know the Necronomicon was also a cook book.

I love this one. It has some creepy scenes. I know a few people who count this one as their favorite cult movie. It has one of my favorite lines: "So, you wounded me. I must grow a new claw, well and good, for I can do it in a day. But will you grow new lives, once I have taken yours from you?"

Please now can someone please toss this abomination on the dustbin of history.

This film perfectly demonstrates how a sympathetic but unreliable observer- protagonist can really mess with your head. Are these events real or imagined? But maybe some events are true, others not so much? This classic does such a good job with this, it's still messing with our heads today.
