2025 Marche Regional Election: so far, overall, low participation.

The map shows the turnout by municipality at Sunday, 7pm.

Overall the turnout is down of 2.7 points from 2020 and 3.9 from 2015 – comparing the same time and day (Sunday at 7pm). Polls will close tomorrow at 3pm.

Today & tomorrow Marche votes! Once a left-wing region, it swung right in 2020 with Acquaroli. Dubbed Italy’s “Ohio,” it opens with Aosta Valley an autumn wave of regional contests with national weight. Acquaroli is 1 of 2 FdI governors, same party as PM Meloni. Pre-election polls attached.

• Emilia-Romagna: Governed by left coalitions since WWII, inequality remains low and stable (2012–22: -0.004).

• Umbria: Shifted to the right in 2019 for the first time since WWII, inequality trend close to ER’s stability, with a slight increase (+0.1).

Both regions have historically low inequality, well below Italy's level.

A longitudinal survey by Demos shows how Italian trust in the administration has steadily dropped to levels similar to the pre-pandemic Conte II government—markedly lower than during Conte I, post-pandemic Conte II, and Draghi's terms.

📊Today, Il Sole 24 Ore has published the new rank of Italian provinces according to a quality of life index of 90 indicators (15 for each of the 6 macro-categories). Udine finds itself at the top of the list for the first time since 1990. Bologna (1st last year) is 2nd, Trento completes the podium.
