Do. Not. Comply.
Stay safe and stay smart. Keep your friends and family close and remember that together we will always be stronger than the 1%.
Do not let them shock you into silence and submission - stay mad, stay kind, stay educated, stay questioning, stay ALIVE.
Trans lives are beautiful.

In ‘46 Malcom was charged with larceny and spent 6 years in prison. This would be a big turning point in his life. During this time he devoured books and knowledge, took visits from his siblings and it was here he learned about the Nation of Islam.

The death heavily affected his mother and she was institutionalized, forcing the siblings into separate foster homes. At 13, Malcom was sent to a juvenile detention home in Michigan where he attended school, and did well socially & academically even while being one of the only black students there.

In the 80s she joined Act Up, an activism group that focused on the AIDs epidemic and by 1990 Marsha was diagnosed with HIV herself. Unfortunately Marsha passed in 1992 at only 46 years old, her cause of death still undetermined. She will forever be a beacon of light for queer folk and we will never

Happy Black History month!
Today I want to honor my personal hero, Marsha P. Johnson. A trans woman and outspoken activist. From helping homeless trans youth, to fighting for AIDs resources -this woman laid down much of the groundwork for the rights we’ve gained, and those we’re still fighting for.
