This one is actually really difficult to image. Nice result. I imaged this a while back and was considering trying again but I prioritized some other targets.

I was testing out a new astro vlog setup in this video so I captured from my backyard where the skies were not nearly as dark as I would like, but I still managed to capture the Pleiades, Orion, and probably most prominently Jupiter in the final photo at the end of the video!

For the second photo, I waited for a slight calm and captured a single 30 second exposure.

It was very windy while I was capturing these photos so to ensure that there was no motion in the flowers, I captured a very short exposure (1/250) for the foreground with a bright flashlight.

The sky + background horizon was captured in a 30 second exposure.

I was able to create this foreground by masking out the headlamp light between 2 separate images out of a sequence of 10 images which all contained some part of the image blown out.

The sky is tracked and stacked.

I will be looking to create several other star trails images in the next few weeks so I will be able to compare some different approaches to creating similar results!

I started with a 10 minute exposure but the trails were not long enough so I attempted this one which turned out pretty well in my opinion.
