I grew up fairly conservative. The dirtiest thing I was ever taught was that the second vowel made the first vowel say its name. Kinky. We learned about antecedents much later. Didn’t exactly clear things up.

We fund all these roads and who benefits? Contractors, heavy equipment manufacturers, automakers, oil companies, and ambulance services (and I guess the tow truck conglomerate). We don’t see a penny of that. How is that fair?
