I am a writer of fictions stuck in a digital limbo, conjuring worlds to brighten my own.
I mean if we're being petty, half the items they could add from old games are just spins on the lightning bolt (the only item worse than the blue shell) or upsized existing items.

Here's a freebie: Owner or operator of a creamery.

Fat cow girl serving high-fat ice cream, milkshakes, and sweets loaded with butter fat that came straight from her fat tits... all smiles and songs wedged behind the counter.

I say all of this while subscribing to the notion that on some level characters can have a life of their own beyond the fiction... they are not wholly separate from our reality.

Because it does not matter; they and the worlds they inhabit function as components of imagination and thought.

Even as someone who almost exclusively picks the wholesome options in games and generally overemphasizes with characters in fiction, I agree with this completely.

I understand the concern of fiction influencing reality, but what that necessitates is honest talk about the line between the worlds.

I feel like people sleep on Kamek as an item because the conversation around it is all about unlocking the racers it can transform you into... it literally litters the course with enemy hazards, which I find very fun.

I also appreciate the return of the Mega Mushroom, ? Block, and Coin Shell.

Anything that lets me ban the lightning bolt to the land of wind and ghosts is a good option.

I'll bite: What chaotic items of the past are you referring to?

I have complicated feelings about said thief because I know they often come from a place of good intent, like video essays hoping to somehow will revivals of lost genres back causing communities to spotlight new examples.

Most people don't know how to inspire though... they just want to complain.

I mean they did make over $686,000 for the project, so you might be right.

Is it ironic that if he were sitting in a chair himself it would change his participation status?

WOULD that change his participation status?

Like would that be one of those hentai situations where other characters are masturbating together but it still counts as watching the MCs bang?

"What's a Strong Bad?"

*experiences a mild existential reminder that Strong Bad's Cool Games for Attractive People released at least five years before he was even a zygote*

It's actually really easy, I've found; after you cut out the spine (which I put in with the neck for the gravy), you score the breast bone and then perform CPR on the chest until you hear it *CRACK!* and cave in like an elderly patient.

Spatchcock turkey is the funniest trick to pull at Thanksgiving because barely ninety minutes passes and the turkey is already done and anyone else cooking in the kitchen is freaking out because they thought they had HOURS to get the sides ready.

2/2

The episode itself however, I actually think is interesting just from the framing that it's a nightmare that Barbara might reasonably have while hopped up on Fear Gas... it's hardly a rational dream, of course, but even a genius mind can come to far-flung conclusions in their dreams.

I half agree with you.

I think the conclusion that they came to regarding her is definitely a product of the environment in which the story was conceived, and it was a decision that was really to the detriment of many characters besides her.

You spelled Crispix wrong.

I am currently dealing with the opposite of that, where someone has talked multiple times about changes they want to make to help the household out at the minor cost of a mild inconvenience, and are now trying to backtrack on it because it would change the status quo.

Maybe it's because I am so used to this thanks to D&D and other fantasy staples, but the moving goalposts of ancient civilizations doesn't bother me that much?

I also have never given much stock to the Zelda timeline though except in the abstract, which is where I'm pretty sure Nintendo wants it.

Constantly.

Like I feel like we hit it off really well once or twice and then they just kinda stop talking and I'm just like, "oh okay we're done?"

Maybe I just overshare too quickly.

I suspect you're eating low lactose cheeses!

Bire and Camembert both have lactose ranges of 2% or less, as examples.

Oh bro, the berry juice inflation is infinitely better than the blue orb nonsense IMO.

I honestly am under the impression that the license for all of these was contingent on them being part of the good guy faction.
November 23, 2025 at 2:26 PM
Adorable and sweet, love it to bits!
November 22, 2025 at 7:30 PM
It makes perfect sense to me.

You can have a story that's a once in a generation epic with impeccable dialogue and engrossing characters, but if they're all part of a game that does nothing to service that story, the story will be lesser for it as it sits trapped in the withered bones of the game.

Having played Mario Kart with my nieces, I can assure you it's because kids struggle with controller video games... less buttons is less complexity, even if it's not as intuitive to seasoned gamers.

I'm saying all this wishing we had a goddamn button to attack instead of stick waggle.
