It's easy to wrongly believe government ought be run like a business. Companies seek profit, achieving that by finding who to serve and who to ignore. They are also singularly focused on the current quarter and may sell out the future for that. Governments must serve ALL people, now & future.

Really liked this book when I read it in college, but it resonated so much more deeply after my mother passed.

I’m also not drawn to “funny” books and loved Catch 22. Also found myself chuckling through Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
