I think my argument is that "trying" requires deep reforms of both the Senate and Supreme Court. Anyone who doesn't support court packing and the nuclear option is planning to fail.

Because while the Democratic party held only a bare majority in the Senate, there were a couple of "centrist" senators who didn't support the legislation. Also, codifying Roe required 60 votes under Senate rules, so even if the whole caucus was united it still would have failed.

Why isn't Dobbs the blueprint here? Lots of Dem talk about a right to abortion, the illegitimacy of the decision, etc. But in the end nothing happens legislatively and abortion is no longer federally protected.

Not true of any language with a good type system. Array size is part of the type, and functions can be made generic over those types.

Sovereign debt is fundamentally different from consumer debt, and it's unhelpful to analogize them. The US government can find its operation with taxes, debt, and printing money, and the optimal mix involves all 3.
