Closer to grave than cradle. Ambivalently passionate. Anarchic gardener. Prone to random bouts of joy. Love is the answer, respect is the path, politics seems to be the means. Climate change is the most important issue of our times. DC area.

Here’s the flyer for the kickoff rally. I’m sad that I can’t join the march until later.

I generally avoid posting his picture, but I changed the word on Hotte Hue's brilliant "Nope" poster (parody of Fairey's iconic Obama "Hope" poster), and it suits me.

The Abolish Super PACs Act
- caps Super PAC donations at $5,000 per person, per year;
- closes coordination loopholes that allow candidates and PACs to function as a single operation;
- restores integrity by making our elections about ideas and people—not money and influence.

Agree? Do this.

- Only human beings, not corporations or artificial entities, have constitutional rights;
- Money is not speech, and campaign spending can and must be regulated;
- All political expenditures must be fully transparent and accountable.

If you agree, do this!

The AP has great photographers. This is from a picture Evan Vucci took the day after the DOJ closed the Epstein case. Can you see how she is looking at him? Am I imagining the loathing here? I keep looking at it and thinking, "What does she know?" The other guy's soul might have left his body.

Oh, here's the thing I made while thinking about that. Thanks to the AP for the photo, and John Lewis for the wise words.

The world is full of beautiful things. Look at this practically perfect blueberry pie we made yesterday. Planting a row of blueberry bushes was a great life choice.

About to recycle the local newspaper I left open to the article “How do we live with data centers? Chamber forum explores the issue”. The following paragraph is marked. The argument boils down to ‘businesses need data centers so they don’t have to hire people’.

Failure right out of the gate - “happy” Memorial Day? No need to read further. Was saying to hubs yesterday that I get why drinking goes with Memorial Day. A toast to the fallen or maybe to just numb out. It isn’t a party, it’s a wake.
