I've been paying £30/month too much for 2 years, so I've just had that refunded. I was paying for the privilege of being hooked up to fibre when it arrives. There is however no sign of that happening for the foreseeable so I've got rid of that too. Saved £45/month.

Sounds a plan! It's quite near Hemswell, which was a large bomber base and is now an excellent antiques centre. She likes it there. It's also very well preserved...

For some reason, the Cavalier was the only 70s car that didn't rust away to dust within 10 years... lovely looking, too.

And also this history of one of the lesser known wartime units of the RAF, 100 Group. This unit tried to counter the radar and communications of the very effective German defence, which was causing horrific casualties to the bomber units.

Today's haul included, for the nerd (🤓 me), some aviation at a good price and for the more sensitive a beautifully illustrated 1st edition (1916) of the Water Babies and a faded but nevertheless lovely 1st edition of The House at Pooh Corner (1928)
