I was super excited to see that #TheBeths were coming back to Atlanta after just missing them last time they were through, but then I saw it was on Halloween, and I have kids who will expect to trick or treat NOT at a concert. #DadLife #AllGoodArtNowIsFromAotearoa

I'm still shocked that I got this award, but it made for an even better #4C25! I got invited to give a keynote at Teacher to Teacher this morning because of this award, and my speech seemed to go over better than I thought it might.

I know there's an awful lot of bad things going on, and this is not trying to ignore it, but my mental health improves when I keep hope as principle. Eating for my health (lowering blood pressure/bad cholesterol) is one hopeful practice. I want to stay around for as much of my kids' lives as I can!

This afternoon, I took a break from work and built a classic #Lego space set with my five year old. 10/10 recommend - will do again. Next, time to read to my 9 year old!

A few food pictures because food is a daily good thing! It's also a big part of our family's pursuit of being us, while teaching our children never to call food yucky or gross. They can say they didn't like something, but they can't villainize the food, because food is often part of identity.

Getting the ox tail broth ready for tteokmanduguk with our friends next week. We always enjoy that soup Wednesday night before the big Thanksgiving feast Thursday. Friendsgiving is a wonderful thing!

Mine is a ruins for now, sadly. I found about 70% in a job lot in rough shape, and I had to buy the yellow wall on Bricklink, but for now I like it as a Wolfpack hideout between the Lion Knight Castle and creators 3-in-1 Black falcons castle.

I'm not on here much, but I may get on more now that I've officially closed down my Twitter account. I just couldn't justify staying on that platform - I have a few friends still there, but Uncle Musky just keeps making it worse.
