Has anyone read the 448-page complaint of the Industrial Energy Consumers of America et al. calling for independent regional transmission planning for transmission facilities at 100 kV and above? (FERC docket EL25-44). Curious on your thoughts on this, grid nerds.

Would there be an interest in a #transmissionsky or #gridsky focused specifically on grid issues (interconnection, interregional, OSW transmission, siting/permitting, grid innovation, etc.)? Happy to create it if there’s interest.

Lame duck starts tomorrow, folks! That means getting EPRA over the finish line is sooo back. What, y’all thought a trifecta was going send us packing?? Both sides of the aisle understand that for the US to compete on AI + other new tech, we need a reliable & expanded grid! #energysky

This thread! Thanks for sharing your insights, @mfarmer.bsky.social
As we stare down the barrel of a Trump presidency, I took a skim through Project 2025’s FERC section. Here's a thread with a few initial thoughts on what Project 2025 might mean for FERC given the agency’s independence: www.documentcloud.org/documents/24...

@kyledavis.bsky.social, I’d love YOUR take especially. My baseline assumption is that Christie (probable next FERC Chair) is less likely to move on this expeditiously than the current Chair. Moreover, not at all clear to me that interregional tx is on the radar of Republican leadership. Thoughts?
#EnergySky 🔌💡 I didn't see much reaction to NERC's recent report on minimum transfer capacity between Transmission Planning Regions. Anyone have a good take? Seems like something we can push in a new Trump Administration.
