You can make an amazing simple syrup with the lapsong souchan. Adds a smoky profile to the beverage of your choice :) I took a cocktail class a while back and it was used in an Old Fashioned. I think it would be great in non-alcoholic drinks as well!

My uncle was part of that group. He and Wayne were close friends until my uncle’s death a few years ago. I have fond memories of seeing Wayne when we’d go visit my uncle in NY. He’s exactly as much fun as you would think he is. My uncle never broke out as an actor, but stayed with the PI stuff :)
