When the world is falling apart, you take a hike with your best girl.
A few years ago, my husband and I went to a nice-ish restaurant in Frederick, MD. He ordered a sandwich of some sort and asked the server to hold the sprouts. She responded, “Yeah, bean sprouts are like the pubic hair of vegetables.” I’ve never been able to look at sprouts the same.
