My theory is that Stewart and Pattinson both went through a kind of crucible after the intense you-know-what franchise microscope experience and came out of it... free. Free to give zero fucks whatsoever, if they so choose. And it's a good look on them both.

Some actresses try to do the "feral gremlin" mode and it just comes off as twee or cute or MPDG or whatever. Stewart, you get the feeling that's her natural mode and she makes it work for the character. More of that, please.
