Johnson is very good, vulnerable in a way he hasn’t been in over a decade. Movie is fine. It looks good, but it’s so low-energy script wise. It feels like Safdie discovered the Kerr/Coleman relationship, and not Dawn, was the story he really wanted to tell too late into shooting.
