🧶 I think using this icon sends my comment to knitting feeds? My Q: Seems like the lifted increase and the median increase produce the same general structure—is the only difference the relative size of the stitches? Am I missing a deeper difference?
My fellow knittin’ kittens, question for you: do you unwind your balls of yarn when putting half skeins into your stash bucket, or do you let them sit in ball form? I know the former is best practice, but I am trying to justify to my lazy self just leaving them as is.

Knittin’ folks, how long/big does a yarn scrap need to be before you keep it versus trash it? I keep stuff that’s a few feet as contrast yarn for casting on, quarter skeins for scrap projects, that sort of thing, but anything shorter gets tossed or composted as appropriate.

Finally finished! Stuffed animal twin of my mom’s dog, who my littlest nephew is obsessed with.

Pattern is Puppy Love by Lorraine Pistorio.

This knit toilet seat cover that looks like an egg and the passage about making an avocado-shaped bathmat are delightful in an otherwise undelightful time.

Took apart a turban I wasn’t wearing and reused the yarn (Alexandra the Art of Yarn, Seal Rock DK) to make an Eternity beanie with some modifications. Love the retina-burning pink/fuchsia combination 🩷💜

Finally took a picture of some very simple boot socks I made last year—they went straight from the needles to my feet.

The yarn (discontinued) is a bit pilly, so I have to shave it every so often. But they are merino/cashmere/stellina and feel great.

🧶 Hat on the right is mine. I made it a year ago and it’s my go-to cold weather beanie. The 2 hats on the left are new and are gifts for friends
