Eric Adams wasn't running against another Democrat.

Mamdani won Black voters in the general by 26 points.

There are two people being quoted in that picture, and neither one of them is Zohran Mamdani.

Just throwing that out there. It seems like you've reached a pretty firmly-set conclusion, though. Which is...?

NYC mayor typically gets a pretty high security clearance; if a photo op helps keep that tradition going, then fine, fuck it, go ahead.

[sigh] I used to look forward to reading him.

He's the one who ran for President to make friends, right?
November 20, 2025 at 9:05 PM
I wish we would stop dropping everyone we like in that funnel, though. Many of the highest-impact politicians in US history were never President, although to be fair quite a few of them did run at some point.

Naturally. Just checking. :)
November 10, 2025 at 11:15 AM
But was it John Slattery, though?
November 10, 2025 at 1:38 AM
Jonathan, is it your contention that deep blue places just...don't count, or something?
November 9, 2025 at 10:15 PM
Cuomo lost the primary and kept going anyway on his own ballot line. When you say Mamdani is not a Democrat, are you purposely glossing over the fact that he currently holds elected office as a Democrat, won a Democratic primary, and then won the election on the Democratic ticket?
November 6, 2025 at 8:41 PM
That's a statement about the Queens Democratic Party, though, not about Mamdani.

You look lovely and appear to be having fun.
