Haven’t been in Bsky In a month or two. Haven’t been on the other app either. My engagement is 10x higher on LinkedIn. I would love microblogging to take off and I’m rooting for the @ protocol but perhaps it never will.

Amazing energy at the Beanpot of Venture #Pitchathon. Congrats to the winners and all the student teams.

In 1930, House, in an effort to alleviate the effects of the Great Depression, passed Hawley-Smoot Tariff Act? Which, anyone? Raised or lowered? ...raised tariffs, in an effort to collect more revenue. Did it work? Anyone, anyone? It did not work, and the US sank deeper into the Great Depression.

Got locked out of LinkedIn while traveling. Some fraud prevention thing. Do I happen to know anyone at LinkedIn that can unlock me?

Tech’s elusive product-market fit: Quantum Fusion, Autonomous Driving, VR—years or decades away? The line approaches PMF but stays just out of reach. #TechTrends #PMF

Really interesting to see startups working on MCPs for AI. I think this will be the new API for many things. Turning this on in Claude and Cursor 🤯

When I bought my car in 2017, I didn’t really care about perception. It was a cool car, it hit all the right notes on my tech radar, and I was a self-admitted Elon fanboy. Over the past eight years, the car has gotten better and better… the CEO, not so much.

Anyone else into making sourdough? I gotta say this loaf had the most oven spring I’ve seen in a while.

It's really sad that 1Password has gotten more complicated and more clunky. The UX across lots of screens is just ok, with such a focused app it could be magical. Lost opportunity.

Since Bluesky @ protocol is open it should be possible to build a video/tiktok style feed/app. Anyone working on that?

AI will have the side effect of making code comments incredibly descriptive. Using Copilot a great code comment produces exceptional code.

I love the term hallucination for LLMs. I just wish we had a similar phrase for people who make stuff up and are utterly convinced.

End of year, how’d you do?

Sold some NVidia on Friday and considering moving into AMD. Semiconductor AI still has a decade of growth but AMD seems like a value play with an easier path to 10x. I have a hard time seeing NVidia as a 30T company.

If you’re searching for playlists on Spotify, avoid the ones curated by Spotify itself. These playlists often have songs with lower royalty costs, low quality songs, a worse listening experience, and offering less financial support to artists.

Bsky warning ‼️ there are users claiming accounts on Bsky using old Twitter handles that look familiar and then trying to con me to invest in their crypto scam. Just because it’s the same handle, doesn’t mean it’s the same person.

Great chart, ignoring the tech-stack comment… if you take VC dollars track your key metrics. Your output should be proportional to your spend. All things being equal 3X spend should 3X output.
This blows up the myth that VCs know wtf they're doing by forcing growth into early stage companies. Throwing large teams at problems needs to stop & there's only one stack that has objective data showing it's as or more productive w/ smaller teams than JS/Python/Ruby stacks: @elixir-lang.org

Retweet if you’re part of the right 20M

Just kidding you don’t have to do anything. You’re already part of it
It’s not just the 20M that are here, it’s that it’s the right 20M, the early adopters.
