AI is turning software developers into recurring revenue.

We need viable offline mode small models so we can ditch these cloud providers. We're currently playing with the house's money and they're getting us addicted. At some point the hammer will drop and costs will balloon.

Over the past few weeks I've been implementing the WHATWG specs in @ziglang.bsky.social . So far we have:

* Infra
* WebIDL
* Console
* URL
* MIMESniff
* Encoding

Finishing Streams to day then finally tackling DOM and hopefully HTML before end of next week.

Our new back-end agnostic headless browser attached to Chrome remote debugger executing JavaScript on the native UI DOM.

BTW, that's running an older version of LiveView Native along with both a LiveComponent in one TabView and a nested LiveView in another

We've recently seen many clients coming to @dockyard.com
that "need assistance finishing their app". Nearly every time it is some AI slop generated app that's looks to be a nightmare to build on top of.

Hey bksy, I’m on the look out for my next project, I’m an experienced Elixir dev (> 8 years commercially, and > 10 years of Ruby before that + I'm still the maintainer of RSpec), very familiar with Phoenix and LiveView, and have enough CSS / JS knowledge to approach projects from a full stack angle.

On the other hand, I'm perfectly fine letting the private equity vultures to pick EA apart.
My colleagues at Bloomberg report that the $20 billion debt in the EA deal is expected to be rated single-B — meaning it is considered a "junk" loan, or one that is high-risk and speculative, typically offering high interest rates. Which the new EA will have to pay
