Columbus OH!
Beer, Bourbon and Bismarcks make a perfectly acceptable breakfast.
This is especially true with local newspapers owned by large corporations (looking at you Gannett) where copy and headline editors were fired in the name of cost savings.

Trump is mentally ill. And a pathological liar.
Despite all that, the MAGA crazies still follow.

For context, Urbana is 10 minutes north of Springfield, OH along a state route. Urbana is much smaller but not entirely different in that both had their manufacturing base gutted by corporate greed.
Both are now all in on the madness that drives out many who seek better opportunities.

It’s not difficult to find documentation of his bigotry. Anyone denying or excusing who he was is complicit in promoting that bigotry.

My version is sending a few lines from a song and making the recipient recall the song and artist.
Yea, it’s a sentimental or nostalgic gesture but maybe it has a lot to do with what number Negroni I’m on.

Finally canceled mine a month ago effective this month. The drip, drip, drip of directly and indirectly removing some of the most talented people in journalism and the slanted headlines made keeping a subscription no longer a wise choice.

The GOP has taken using weasel words to a high art form. They are completely disingenuous whenever they speak.

Thx. I love the Atlantic. You are correct abt them grabbing a lot of talent seeking new homes.

I appreciate your comment re AP for straight news. I’ll have to start going to them more often for nat’l news.

One of the brutal conclusions one reaches is that the number of unnamed co-conspirators in covering up these crimes is considerable. It’s difficult to imagine the highest levels in the athletic department and in the administration didn’t have an inkling about this.

The GOP openly supports the domestic terrorists who attacked the capitol. They have no interest in honoring those who actually defend our nation.

Insurrection for profit.
June 6, 2025 at 7:37 PM
The GOP, not wanting to be outdone by imaginary “paid protesters,” have now gone all in with actual paid domestic terrorists.

Not every attempt to discriminate is as heavy handed, meaning it’s happening more often than we know.

The vague reasoning for denial and the refusal by the City of Hilliard, a Columbus suburb, to negotiate the specifics of a proposed development doesn’t feel genuine.
