Okay, THAT guy sucked as Han Solo, but don't forget, the story was awful, too. But the fact that they cast a guy everybody liked as Lando proves that some choices can work. Besides, it's not like the original actors wouldn't have been able to reprise their roles anyway.

The whole thing is stupid. And you know their sole reason for not adapting the books? Because they killed Chewbacca off in The New Jedi Order storyline- a character they didn't have much use for anyway. Let's not forget that they can't fill the history 30-year history gap between JEDI and TFA.

I really TRIED to like the last trilogy. I did. But after reading the expanded universe for twenty years, I couldn't wrap my mind around why Disney refused to just adapt the books for an obviously inferior story.

Nor the original version or the director's cut were watchable. Adding porn wouldn't have made it any more interesting.

I was looking forward to Gail's run on Firestorm, but she had to do an entirely different take thanks to the crapfest that was the new 52. I would've liked to have seen what she would've done with the original concept.

But the truth of the matter is, though popular characters can generate interest in a new book, it's the writer who keeps it going.

That was a good story that got kind of ruined in the long run. The funny part is that HAWKWORLD retconned it so that this particular "Hawkman" pretended to be Carter Hall's second son raised on Thanagar. He was actually a spy. It was actually a clever way of explaining the emergence of Katar Hol.
