Warriors fan since 1965, when they were the San Francisco Warriors. Not a bandwagoner.

Also having players that played in this millennium helps (I know Shaq did, but he retired 15 years ago). Blake, Dirk, and UD all played against many of the guys they’re commenting on, and I think that makes a difference. For instance, describing firsthand the frustrations of guarding Steph Curry!

Victor won that battle, but Draymond held his own overall. In 2 games when guarded by Draymond, Wemby was 8-for-21 with 6 turnovers and one shot blocked (only third time he’s had a shot blocked this year!) Difficult to imagine anyone doing better. Hardly embarrassing!

I think the overtime win over Denver is just as impressive as these 2 wins, if not more so, considering the Nuggets are the 2nd best team in the league right now. Kuminga played 36 minutes in that one, for what it’s worth.

Sometimes I just have to mute it, it gets so bad. It’s Fitz that drives me crazy. Talking nonstop. Making the same jokes for the past 25 years when they weren’t funny the first time. I could go on (and on) but then I would be like Fitz.

Mr. Mean! One of my all time favorites. A great rebounder, better than than West, but unlike West couldn’t shoot more than 5 feet from the basket.

So frustrating. When the TNT early game ran long, they would start the game on NBA TV. Why couldn’t NBC do the same?

Actually it seems to me that most of the late games were starting at 10 pm eastern time, so that’s a difference of an hour. Not a big problem for me since I’m on the west coast, but I feel your pain.

Yes, there’s a lot more overall talent today than when Wilt played, but he still went up against all time greats like Russell, Thurmond, Bellamy, and Reed. He was as strong as Shaq and much more athletic. No, he wouldn’t have averaged 50, but he would have been great in any era, including today.

No argument with your main point, but Bogy and Draymond play very different positions. Wouldn’t Batum be a better comparison? In which case: Batum older than Green.

In retrospect it’s ridiculous that Iguodala never won the 6moy award. They automatically give it to microwave-type players, rather than considering a player’s overall value to the team. Andre played starter’s minutes and made starter-level contributions coming off the bench.

Coming late to this, but Steph Curry has to be on this list. Ask any Warriors fan.

Seems like a good idea for the Warriors to sign De’Anthony Melton on the vet minimum, doesn’t it? Any updates on his injury recovery status?

Thanks, I took your suggestion.

I like this suggestion, but we’re required to give a name and email address to respond, and I don’t trust them with this information.

Not doubting what you say, but please explain how this helps the Warriors. Because it takes Collins out of the free agent market?

If my calculations are correct, in the 2016-2017 season, the one under discussion in the Bleacher Report article, if heaves weren’t counted Curry’s 3-point percentage would have gone up nearly a point, from 41.1 to 42%. So yes, this could make a difference, even for high-volume guys like Curry.

In no particular order: Russell, Wilt, Kareem, Hakeem, Jokic
July 5, 2025 at 5:02 PM
C’mon, nobody said that. Not in the Warriors organization, not by any Warriors fan who should be taken seriously. At best we might have hoped, with fingers crossed, that he would develop into an all star someday, but absolutely no one thought he would become one of the top 2-3 players in the league.

#12 is Dick Barnett. #15 is Dick McGuire in addition to Earl the Pearl.

Curious to hear who you’re thinking of.

Jalen Suggs?

Ausar Thompson, Victor Wembanyama?

I don’t particularly have anything against this Knicks team, but I’m old enough to remember the last Knicks championship, and there’s nothing more obnoxious than Knicks fans after they win. Not even Lakers fans. Not even Celtics fans.
