Conservative friend and colleague was excited when our former employer switched to HSA/HDHP. Swore she was the smart consumer and this was a game-changer. It was. She tripped on the sidewalk 1/2 block from hospital. Walked in for stitches. Drained HSA. More $ OOP. Love turned hate on HSAs quickly.
