I'm sure you've written about this. But I just can't help wonder how much that definition of antisemitism has actually made worse what the rest of the world calls antisemitism.

And although not related to this discussion. One of my most frequent questions to Christians these days is (especially liberal Christians), how to square that against the claims in the Bible about the Holy Spirit.

I'd also point out this is apples and oranges. Nothing in the teacher data looked at religiousity. Only at priests vs teachers, which I for along time have not thought there was anything higher there than say protestant clergy. And again anecdotal, but Catholics seem to have cleaned things up.

And I'll be the first to admit, my evidence is anecdotal. It's just based on how many stories I see, which seems like it is at least 10 to 1 of Christians to Non Christians in the US.

Of course you can't do that, But you can look at those who offend now. Are they better?

Then on top of that, couple how it really seems like believers actually seem to abuse more. Look at how many stories we have weekly of Christian leaders abusing others. If it is truly even equal, we should have roughly 2 stories of abuse by non believers for every 3 by believers if they are equal.

For example, is someone who did not start out believing in eternal damnation likely to rape less? or is someone who was raised believing in eternal damnation more likely to misbehave if they stop believing in eternal damnation?

Evidence? Lots of former believers thought the same thing while religious. But don't after they leave. Does it play out in reality? And how much of that is simply the ramifications of a belief system that presupposes eternal damnation as the starting point? ...

I'm a nobody, but I keep assuming at some point, someone is going to write a book about modern fundamentalist apologetics backed by the threat of eternal torment led to Trump.

My point is, you can't call it a 'benefit' if it's that easily (and frequently) manipulated for so many. Do we have Trump without the threat of 'eternal torment'?

I'd thought that at one point, but at some point you also have to work into that how those threats of eternal torture are used to manipulate the same people.

Was so angry with Michael Bennet when he came out so vociferously against the RCV measure in Colorado last year. Not sure I'll even support him for Governor because of it.

That's not very helpful in that we just talked with a Broker and they said like 97% of people who want to switch back are unable to because the D insurers are able to deny people coverage? What a mess.

Think this is true, but what is the evidence that this is mostly 'young men' versus just mostly 'men'? Feels like it describes an awful lot of Gen X / Boomers and older Millenials also.

Is the ACA really worth keeping around at this stage? Why aren't we pushing towards Medicare for Everyone so we can get costs and coverage similar for everyone?

And seriously Senator Bennet, you could do so much good putting forward a responsible Medicare for Everyone plan that provided Medicare responsibly to all Americans while saving money over current premiums.

I think we can all agree that 1200 a month is too much, but 2 dollars a month is a political loser, when most in the same income bracket are paying way more. Where is the balance?

The company I'm with is currently in Open Enrollment and our Cheapest HSA plan is 800 a month before any contribution to an HSA savings account. The company pays 600 and the employee pays 200. Many of our employees would have qualified for the prior subsidy on the marketplace.

I'm a Democrat, but I don't get this. Do we not realize that we are going to lose lots of support when we're saying costs were this low on the marketplace when pretty much no employer plans are even close to this cheap for this income range?
