Back to rating our uni's online efforts with the OLC Quality Scorecard. The hard facts are that QA was essentially shelved during COVID, as...sigh..."all faculty are experts at teaching, regardless of modality".

I'm not sure how you'd design a study to assess LMS usage and cognitive load, but I agree that variance in course navigation contributes to student dissatisfaction.
I'm really interested in the cognitive load piece of this specifically.
Imagine being an undergrad student taking a full class load in 2025.
On a semester system, that means you have to learn five different websites every 6 months and your grade will suffer if you don't master them in like a week

We collectively snickered at the union's request for a 50% response rate to their survey, saying 22% is great in social science research. Then I remembered that the Deans have always grumbled when end of term student survey response rates are around 35-40% SMH.
