The groom scarcely exists even outside such a scenario. The groom is either merely on the agenda as part of the proceedings on the 'special day,' or if not that, then...something or other. Who has time or the desire to figure it out.

Beautiful. It's artwork.

The "Bryce Canyon at twilight" image, as shown in this substack article, brings to mind the cover art of Joyce's book, Breathe. They're not the same but there are similarities of colour and the abstract feeling that both of them portray.

Umm...the date must be wrong. Natalie left the earth in 1981.

Unsurprising.

...and then, inexplicably, both Harris and Biden legitimized t***p, a treasonous felon and insurrectionist, by attending his inauguration, standing on the dais and rubbing shoulders with billionaires.

I've read that this has to do with t***p's crypto scam, in which people lost 2 billion but he made 100 mm in fees or something like that. The CFPB was enacting regulations on this sort of thing, so he went after them.

It's a bit of a pretentious writeup.

With that former junkie (once a junkie, always a junkie by character) at the helm, will we still have access to our flu shots and Covid boosters? Even if so, there's no one in govt to keep an eye on quality control!
February 13, 2025 at 5:22 PM
With people like t***p, Jeffrey Epstein, et al having left behind a fetid odor wherever they've been, shouldn't it be the reverse? You know, the trailer park kink is hot and romantic.witn an old episode of Family Feud on in the background, while billionaire kink is the CI or SVU episode?

To your point, I walked into a notable independent bookstore's new location in North Hollywood (they also have one in downtown Los Angeles + a couple more stores) and the staff was very nice and solicitous to any question, but surprisingly, it was clear they weren't familiar with the author's name!

The answer is to flood the zone relentlessly with indictments, decisive obstruction, and ignore SCOTUS since ignoring the rule of law is what the new illegitimate crime syndicate masquerading as a government does all day, every day.

Wouldn't it be amusing if you made placemats and other textile items, e.g. high end woman raglan sweater couture, etc., and as demand increases it's the sort of thing Christie Brinkley wears while gardening on a cool day in Sag Harbor; and suddenly you're making a killing off of your creations!
February 8, 2025 at 10:54 PM
True enough. But to your point, we just had a president and a presidential candidate who played way too nice, simply walked away when it was over, attended/legitimized an inauguration of a felonious traitor and insurrectionist, and are now quiet having disappeared entirely more or less. Complicity.

This is a beautiful piece. I learned a little more about Missouri, ironically in a way redolent of a no longer extant America save for vestiges. Given the lion's share of The Miners, I think you could have a second career as a nature writer. One could say you were born too late, but evidently not.

'67, I believe.

Imagine re-creating each square as a coaster or as a coffee mug design....or plateware.
February 7, 2025 at 3:35 PM
I hope this doesn't play out per usual, whereby tomorrow, you'll capitulate in a manner curious to everyone, leading citizens to wonder if you were bribed or had your life threatened.

If we were like Elon and Chump, we'd blithely say that two of them are DEI hires, because they aren't white.
