I drew the legend @itseieio.bsky.social for secret santa this year so I made him a handheld, consolized version of One Million Checkboxes. It's still multiplayer, the units sync up wirelessly! the LEDs up top show you which checkbox is currently selected

would you pay $2/month for an unlimited 256kbps cell phone plan that is absolutely functional for text messaging, lets you use maps, and intentionally makes doomscrolling/video painful (but not impossible). and costs $2. and works with whatever cell phone.

part of the "greg lore" is that I worked on the norad santa tracker in 2006 & 2007 (like, wrote the javascript with my colleagues at my first startup)
the funny thing today is that google used to run the official tracker, but now both trackers run separately... and show santa at different places...
