These publicly funded handouts will help the Big Four power companies dig even deeper into your pocket - because the longer they can delay building cheap wind and solar, the longer they can keep burning expensive fossil fuels which keep prices, and their profits, high.

While you're layering up and watching your power bill climb, this Government is throwing $200 million tax dollars at fossil fuel exploration, handing out tax breaks to oil rigs, and eyeing up a publicly funded fossil gas import terminal.

The deep sea is one of the last untouched parts of the Earth and we still don’t know what’s down there. Mining could cause irreversible damage.

Trump signed an order to fast track deep sea mining in April. The Nautilus ship is conducting U.S. funded research. Lousia says the research will be used to advance seabed mining.
