Killed and seriously injured on Warwickshire Roads are going up. The target is useless without action.
Warwickshire County Council are refusing to look at speed limits in urban area on routes to schools.

It has been over 9 years since Warwickshire county council officers met to discuss bus stops for new developments on Weddington Road. It has been a farce and now we have muddy bus stops without paving, bus shelter without bus stop. Can we have it sorted soon?

Pre Covid there was a Warwickshire report into variability of new cinemas which said Nuneaton was fully served with cinemas. I told the borough council of my concerns about cinema formally on 8th October. It seems after that they signed contract with BAM to build it only in December.

Great Video. The north side of Leicester Road bridge is not technically shared use but the lines directing you to die on carriageway have warn out in last decade. What is legal is ambiguous. Picture from 2009 on google earth.

Severn Trent Water are now digging up the top of Milby Drive to extend the overloaded sewer to the Top Farm School and housing. Not going to be good. Extra problems by school and then more sewage added to our river. Mad that new housing is not connected to new sewer in the next field up.

There are lots of bigger scandals from council than £990 taxi bills, but they are complex tangles. I am looking at this one and would welcome any information.

I AM ANGRY. When they Tories ran Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough council we had millions lost on unviable and then scrapped regeneration projects, just £98 of S106 spent on affordable housing but £825+Vat on Mayors taxi to London.

At tonight's @NBBCouncil cabinet meeting we have a report on use of developer S106 funding for the last year of Conservative control (2023/24). Shocking that the Tories took in £4.4m from developers but only spent £0.8m including just £98 on affordable housing. Yes that is just 98 pounds & 92 pence.

We need more GPs and better services in Nuneaton. Pressure on George Eliot hospital is increasing as more people wait in A&E and also parked outside .There were 350 over 1-hour ambulance handovers reported in October
2024. Cancelling Weddington medical centre is so stupid.

Monday is not going to be good on Higham Lane if Severn Trent dig up Milby Drive at the same time as Higham Lane works. WCC highways are supposed to stop clashes like this. We will see what happens.

The permits for the pumping station is over 50 years old and useless now we have 4 times the housing on the network plus climate change.

Weddington sewage pumping station started "spilling" into River Anker again at 8:45AM this morning. Since the summer they will have been discharging for over 170 hours from this site alone. On 2nd December they will start to add another 51 new home and new secondary school to sewer at Milby Drive.

BREAKING NEWS - NHS scraps plans for new Weddington health centre and will make more use of St Nicolas Park centre instead. This has been going on for 12 years, produced massive problems to those needed a GP, wasted £100,000s and also wasted land provided by developer.
November 19, 2024 at 5:55 PM
Last night Severn Trent Water did sneaky in dark 26 minute discharge from Weddington Sewage pumping station in Nuneaton into the River Anker. It was well before peak river level. This was not extreme weather which means the discharge was not legal.

It seems the RLG produce great looking venues that are financial basket cases. That result in landlords, suppliers and staff losing a lot of money. If you don't bother to balance books you can have a lot of happy customers for a short time until the money runs dry.
November 17, 2024 at 4:43 PM
I have sent this email to @NBBCouncil. They have so far refused to accept that the selected operator is unlikely to be ever able to operate the expensive new venue.
They cannot pay any rent in busy Catford and Ealing locations. The project is dead without viable operator.
