this is where i'll be stopping this thread, i think.
i'll now try to daily drive EndeavourOS and tweak the system and apps to my liking as i go along. hopefully, i don't have to switch back to Windows after all this.

while i did say earlier in the thread that i chose Vivaldi as my new Chromium browser, syncing my data requires i make a Vivaldi account. that wouldn't bother me too much if it also didn't give you all this extra stuff i kinda don't need. maybe it's just me. i just wanna sync my data across devices.

update regarding my stream schedule (alt text available)
livestreams are gonna be slowing down for the time being. my schedule for the semester makes travelling a hassle, and i admittedly haven't been doing the best academically either, so i'll be prioritising my studies more than the streams. there won't be a stream today, but i will be streaming next week (November 1st). after that, i'll be streaming whenever i have the free time to do so. i'll also try streaming at different times, ideally ones that don't have me streaming until sunrise lol i also wanna take the time to thank everyone who joins my streams, whether it's to just watch them or to interact with me and everyone else there. i appreciate you all for tuning in! see you next week!

hey @saltydkdan.bsky.social, i had this weird dream a few days ago, where you, Gerber and Pasty were being chased by a creature that looked like the Rake creepypasta and get infected with an evil and fucked up virus that kills you. see the screenshot for more info. love your content btw :)
SaltyDKDan and friends (mainly following the HYHA trio) getting chased by a Rake-like creature. After getting attacked (and making it out alive), you get infected with the "Akume" virus (detectable by an infrared thermometer) that overtime will cause you to explode in a gross, gory mess, thus killing you. The last thing I remembered, Pastey got infected unknowingly. The gang now debate what to do from here. Matt Watson from SuperMega was also there for some reason.

I could go on about how this is a terrible DRM, even for paying customers, but I'll let this Steam review speak for itself:
A Steam review on Champions of Breakfast's page, written by Steam user Crystal_Labs. "The game was written using poorly structured code. An example is how it uses Steam Achievements as a means to save progress. This is a terrible practice for several reasons. 1. There is no flexibility or reversibility for the saves. 2. It's a bad security practice as players can use 3rd party tools to manipulate progress and potentially other vulnerabilities. 3. It ties the game to the steam platform which can cause problems if the platform changes or goes down. As someone who cares about game preservation I cannot recommend this product in it's current state."
