Travelling to Paris from London? Take the train. It will probably be quicker (and less stressful) than flying, and can cut your carbon emissions by up to 10x. Eurostar terminates at Gare du Nord right in the city centre – so no need for tedious transfers.

But in reality, it's a deadzone. The graveyard of a once species-rich Atlantic rainforest wonderland, smothered under sheep and, in the distance, sitka.

We are, however, waking to just how much has been stolen from us.
