Slightly annoyed when I see people use the “Look at you hacker” quote with the System Shock 2 protagonist.

Packard are fascinating because when they existed they were like an American Rolls-Royce. Both in terms of making ultra-posh luxury cars, and in terms of making WWII airplane engines.

Got the DS9 box set a couple years ago, one of the big issues it has is that the clips holding the disks in those big clamshell cases are absurdly tight. Feels like you’re cracking the disks trying to get them out.

I doubt there was a direct chain of influence, but it’s interesting how many similarities there are between The Vision of Escaflowne and Final Fantasy VI.
