Can all the companies making service games hire Sucker Punch artists to make skins that are not gaudy af?

Ads? Soon you'll be primed into gambling by watching the news. Grim stuff.

Maybe make A the default and B an accessibility toggle.

The least friction I got after trying almost a dozen flavors was from Ubuntu. I had more pleasant experience with it than with Mint that people often recommend as the go-to. If I had time and patience, I'd go with Arch probably.

This looks so good. The lighting is just perfect.

Damn that's such a fantastic shot. Wallpaper worthy stuff here. That camera was worth every penny.

Jesus Christ... Quality of this footage is incredible! What camera are you using?

I think it is floral. Seems like direct match to the clothes Sam Lake wore for the comic strips, just very muted. And, like, these clothes exists, so making direct replica, even if more "pixelized" shouldn't be a problem.

I absolutely love the pixel art style you got going for this project. Can't wait to see all of it!

I think the biggest project of this type is Electron (Discord app and VS Code were made with it). Tauri is Electron but with base written in Rust.

I read it as a child a long time ago, but iirc (and if I read your outline right) that's extremely similar to the premise of The Curtain, Christie's final Poirot novel.

I didn't played it yet, but it seems like a actually fleshed out and discrete game instead of this *out of factory line* vibe 99% of those sim games have. Like sombody *wanted* to make this game, it shows.

Tarkov-like. I remember seeing something about Miyazaki playing it some time ago.

Speaking of, I'm sure you've checked it out, but recently Terrain3D plugin hit 1.0 milestone.

For me one of the most tragic things about whole Irrational/Ghost Story thing is that it happened, because Levine wanted to do smaller, more experimental stuff, instead of working in BioShock factory, and after more than 15 years they will release a... BioShock-like... 😳

Gotta give her credit there, she does actually use YouTube and Patreon gains to fund her research www.npr.org/2023/09/23/1...
She got famous on YouTube. Now it helps fund her research in quantum gravity
This theoretical physicist and mathematician drops a new video several times a month, dispensing her dry wit and pithy wisdom to a loyal fan base of nerds across the internet.

Don't know which material you've watched, but in today's dev commentary vid Hugo said that their mantra for 2016 was "run and gun", for Eternal it was "jump and shoot" and for this one it's "stand and fight". Another comparison was that in Eternal you were fighter jet and here you're an iron tank.

S2 reminded me of GoT. The way later seasons stopped being invested in world building. Everything was so high stakes. Nothing and nobody had space to breathe. Same feeling of laziness. Story definitely cut short. Season 1 made me want to play MMO in that world among those characters, S2 not at all.

Congrats on the release, game looks dope!

Granted, I've seen only two episodes of the Silo and game is still in my backlog, but Harold Halibut might scratch some of the itches.
